Human factors in cardiothoracic surgery

GHU Paris Psychiatrie Neurosciences

The French Society for Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgery (SFCTCV) asked Emergensim to lead two debates on the importance of human factors in the quality and safety of care in the operating room. We shot two scripted films of serious events in the operating room and, after screening at the virtual congress, we discussed with the audience some FOH: task interruption, fixation error, situational awareness and stress management. Thank you to the teams from the Rennes (Pr VERHOYE) and Rouen (Pr BASTE) operating theater for their enthusiasm and collaboration.
